Art Therapy across Cheshire and the North West

I am an art therapist specialising in art therapy for children, adolescents, and their families, holding a safe space for emotional healing and creativity. I am a registered art therapist supporting clients by creating a safe space for expression, exploration, and understanding. I work primarily in schools across the north west, and have also provided therapy work online. I also work with adults. I created Art Therapy Cheshire to provide art therapy, supervision, and training to those who need it.

What is Art Therapy?

Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy where art is an important form of communication. Art therapists support clients to express feelings and experiences through art-making. The aim is to improve mental and emotional health by creating a safe space for this exploration to happen.

I am a registered art therapist supporting children, adolescents, families, and adults to explore their experiences and emotions through art-making. Art therapy can lead to increased self-esteem and sense of self.

What Can I Offer?

Individual Art Therapy

I provide art therapy sessions in-person or online. These are tailored to the individual I am working with. Confidentiality and safeguarding are important elements of the work, and we will set aims and expectations before we begin our sessions together.

Dyadic Art Therapy

Sometimes it is helpful to create an opportunity for a child or adolescent to engage in art therapy with a parent or carer. Dyadic sessions provide a space for building relationships and understanding together.

Art Therapy Supervision

Art therapists working in the UK must have a supervisor, who supports them in practicing safely and effectively. If you are an art therapist interested in an initial meeting, do get in touch.

Lectures and Training

There are many elements of art therapy that can support professionals working with vulnerable people. These include working with trauma, critical reflection, and the theory underpinning
psychotherapy. Do drop me an email if you would like to discuss training.
